Meet the sloths of Costa Rica

Since the last Ice Age, the great Xenartha order has dwindled to three particular creatures: the armadillo, the anteater and the remarkable sloth.
Sloths spend more of their time in the rainforest canopies of Americas, sleeping up to eighteen hours a day. Adapt in the trees, sloths are awkward on the ground, but strong and graceful swimmers. Continue reading
